How we moved theory into practice (and from Hungary to Greece)
Welcome to the Akasha Project!
In Vedic philosophy, Akasha is the all-pervading space element, the universal library. For us, however, this word represents a hard, hands-on reality: the living story of our own model house and coastal estate, built precisely according to the rules of Vastu.
There is a lot of talk on the spiritual market. Everyone quotes from books, but few dare to put their own lives and homes on the line. We did. This page is not a theoretical blog, but our living Vastu laboratory.
Here, we show you step-by-step how connecting space with the 8 elements of the Universe, rhythm, and sacred mathematics/geometry transforms reality and destiny.
The Foundation of the Project:
When Less is Significantly More
When we started the Akasha Project, a single question hovered in our minds: Can a tiny space of just 8.8 square meters hold the same monumental, pure, sacral energy (Sattva) as the magnificent temples of India?
Our answer: Yes, if the mathematics and sacred geometry are perfect.
We wanted no unnecessary fluff. Just the pure essence. We wanted to understand what space means not only in a material sense but also in a spiritual one.
The principles of Vastu were not meant to stay on book pages; they had to be born in the walls, windows, and corners. We wanted to experience it.
And the result far exceeded our original plans.
The House That Refused to Stay Put:
A 3-Year Greek Epic
This little house has the soul of a traveler. After building it with our own hands in Hungary, down to the millimeter according to Vastu rules and Ayadi calculations, the time came to move. Because we do not compromise on pure space, we took the entire house, dismantled the roof, hooked it to a crane, loaded it onto a truck, and shipped it to sunny Greece.
Since then, over 3 years have passed, and on our coastal property, the Akasha Project has grown into a complete, biodynamic ecosystem. It wasn't easy, but following the rules of Vastu, step-by-step, we made the impossible happen:

The Rebirth: Upon arrival, the house received a brand-new, energetically precisely tuned roof structure.

The Sacred Outbuilding: We built a brand-new external facility, positioned and sized exactly according to Vastu rules.

The Corner of Inner Silence: Our new, unique Vastu swing and complete biodynamic garden were installed, where even the insects and blades of grass grow to the cosmic rhythm (our two cats create a little Tamas-style chaos sometimes, but that keeps it real).
We did all this to experience and prove with our own bodies: a consciously designed space directly impacts your biology, your nervous system, your luck and your self-healing processes.

That's how we started building, too: we had no blueprint, just a crumpled scrap of paper and the next steps recalculated in our heads — that's how it went the whole way through construction.
And yet: we managed to build everything down to the millimeter.
The Big Story of a Little House:
How We Built a Swiss Watch Out of Wood

When we decided to build this house, we were looking for a size roughly equivalent to a camper van — comfortable, temporary accommodation for 3-4 people.
But we weren't satisfied with ordinary dimensions. We wanted sacred proportions, the kind used exclusively in Vedic temple architecture.
We used a very ancient, strictly guarded system of measurement, one that let us shape the highest possible cosmic vibration into matter.
We wanted to create a completely pure space — Akasha itself.
We figured that if we were building it anyway, the house should stay useful into the future.
Since we had no idea whether we'd actually stay wherever it was built, the basic requirement was that it be easy to move and transport.
Our goal was for the little house to function as a small but powerful healing space — somewhere people could come to calm down and regenerate — while working perfectly as a guesthouse, too.
We didn't want luxury or all the mod cons. Just clean, minimalist functionality: a space where you could sleep, cook, and wash. No frills.
Time Is the Boss
(And We Followed It with the Deepest Humility)
We backed up our enthusiasm with the power of time. To minimize the chance of error down to zero, we started everything — and I mean everything, literally — only at supportive moments precisely calculated by the planets and the cosmos.
We broke ground on the foundation at the most favorable possible moment, the so-called Vastu Bhoomi timing, so the entire construction process would get a gigantic cosmic tailwind and a stroke of luck.
We'll be honest: when we dove in, we had no idea how complicated and grueling it would be to actually meet Vastu's highest, most elite standards in practice.
But we did it compulsively, as maximalists, because we trusted the science — and the positive outcome — blindly.
Tool-wise, we brutally underestimated the project, which loaded a ton of extra physical labor onto us.
But that didn't stop us from working to millimeter precision.
We wanted to create a little house that worked like a Swiss watch: showing only the good times, and transmitting only supportive energies.
But wood is a living, moving material, and in Vastu the tolerance for error is close to zero. We had to think through every single step three times over, so the structure would stay razor-precise decades down the line.
We wanted this building to create time-waves that nourish every two-legged creature, every four-legged creature, and the Earth itself. But reaching that quality meant we had to buckle down hard, rookie or not.
7 Months of Struggle Instead of 1-2 — But It Was Worth It
Mathematically and structurally, we designed the house by deploying our full temple-architecture knowledge, so that its very presence would have a positive effect on the surrounding village, the country, and every being living around us.
This science of temple architecture demands that every single part of the building be exactly the right size, positioned exactly where it needs to be — down to a hair's breadth.
Because of this, instead of the originally planned 1-2 months, construction took a good 7 months — even though we really did everything we could to keep moving.
It dragged on this long because, following the astrologically favorable timing strictly, we often had to wait hours in the middle of construction for the right moment.
But in terms of the end result, that patience is what delivered the miracle. For us, there's no such thing as "never mind, let's just keep moving."
During a waning moon, for instance, we never started any building work at all — we used that period exclusively for cleaning, sanding, painting, and tidying up.
We lived by a fully astrological approach: even making a door and then hanging it in place happened at two completely separate, favorable moments.
We calculated a unique timing for every new phase of work, because time is the boss, and we followed it with the deepest humility, for the sake of success.
What Was the Result?
Moving In With a Toothbrush and a Marble Ganesha
We'll be honest: by the end, we were drained to the bone, physically and mentally.
In the final months we lived in a single empty room of a yoga studio, where luxury meant having one toilet.
We went somewhere different every day to wash and cook, and on top of that we were still commuting 60 kilometers a day to the construction site.
What kept our hope alive was that our timing worked: in those 7 months, not a single accident, not a single major mistake happened, and even the weather worked in our favor the whole way through.
We didn't waste any energy on the house's outward shine — we focused purely on the inner values. If we'd also fussed over the design, we'd probably still be sanding wood today.
In April 2018, an astrologically perfect moment arrived. The little house was structurally complete, vibrating beautifully, just as it should — though the ladder up to the gallery loft was nowhere to be found yet. But we didn't care anymore. We couldn't wait any longer.
We grabbed our small pillows, our toothbrushes, and a marble Ganesha statue, stepped over the threshold, and slept there.
(The Ganesha isn't a religious prop that just happened to end up with us: through its exact measurements, this statue represents precisely the same cosmic frequency as the building itself. I designed it myself as an exam project, and received it from my Vastu master Rahul Gopinath Sarode in recognition of my outstanding results.)
The Night That Changed Everything
It was perhaps the best sleep of our lives. The next day we woke up and simply didn't want to crawl out of bed.
We felt such an unbelievable peace, silence, and still, pure energy that it was as if time had stopped and the outside world had simply ceased to exist.
The little house has a floor area of just 2.5 x 3.5 meters, and yet we felt as though there were no walls at all.
The sense of being enclosed simply vanished: we felt like we were floating in an infinite, open space. In a single night we recharged more in this mini Vastu space than during a two-week luxury holiday in a beachfront villa.
We could never have imagined that a person could feel good for the long term in a building this small. NEVER!
The 30-Day Passive Healing Experiment
At this point we didn't yet suspect it, but our entire life had taken a new direction.
By the end of construction, both of us were completely worn down: chronic exhaustion had left us plagued by inflammation, digestive problems, hormonal imbalances, and constant inner restlessness.
We decided to run an experiment. We stayed completely passive: we used no medical treatment, no therapy, no medication whatsoever.
We wanted to know whether the house — through sacred mathematics and the power of the space itself — could actually heal us, the way the Vedic texts promise.
Even though we still had a huge amount to do, every single minute we spent in the little house gave us a sense of infinite safety and calm.
After a good month, every one of our physical and mental complaints vanished without a trace.
Even to us, this seemed completely unbelievable and irrational.
Later we went on a seaside holiday, but sitting on the beach, we caught ourselves physically missing our little house's subtle, pure energy.
We rushed back home. That strange attachment has remained to this day: for us, there is no more peaceful, no more protected spot on the planet than these 8.8 square meters.
Describing this energy is exactly like trying to explain to someone what it feels like to ride a bike or to fly: it's impossible in words — you simply have to experience it.
Right after moving in, we immediately cancelled the huge family house we'd ordered from carpenters in Transylvania.
We realized we had no need whatsoever for enormous spaces. Because in the end, it isn't the size of the physical body that counts — it's the size of the soul and the spirit.
Extending the Energetic Effect:
When Vastu Rearranges the Environment
Once we'd moved into our 8.8-square-meter oasis, it was time to extend this pure frequency beyond the walls too.
As a first step, we built a terrace facing East — according to Vedic science, East is the single most important direction when it comes to overcoming obstacles and letting in new energies.
Since the plot's outer fence wasn't finished yet, we solved the property's protection with an intimate inner fence tuned to the building's own rhythm. It was hair-precise physical work, but the result was wonderful: we created a protected microsphere around the house.
We packed the little garden full of colorful flowers, tidied everything up, and trusted that this pure, harmonious (Sattva) energy would radiate out into our surroundings too.
And then something truly astonishing happened.
Our neighborhood wasn't exactly famous for its meditative silence or harmonious way of living: loud music, everyday tension, and disorderly energies ruled the other side of the fence.
But as our Vastu house grew stronger and more stable with each addition, the space's high frequency simply started rearranging the environment.
Physical reality gave some stunning answers: some of the most high-tension neighbors moved away within a short time, and those who stayed became noticeably quieter.
One person from the village noticed this sudden peace and asked us, "What did you do? Why is it always so quiet around you?"
All we answered was: "The little house."
The Last Missing Link
When we explained that this wasn't religion or hocus-pocus, but a precise science of mathematics and spatial energetics, part of the local community had a hard time knowing what to make of it.
Measuring intangible energies was simply too unusual for them. Some people didn't know what to do with this high level of peace, and happily turned the music up even louder.
Inside the little house — thanks to the brilliant insulation and the sacred geometry — we luckily didn't catch so much as a blade of grass's worth of that outside noise.
Whenever we wanted total quiet, we simply stepped into our own 8.8-square-meter paradise, where time stood still.
But this situation made one thing clear to us: agitated and harmonious energies have a hard time coexisting long-term within the same fence.
Although we were endlessly satisfied with how our experiment had turned out, only one thing was still missing for our complete peace: swapping the noisy surroundings for an endless, calming sea right in front of the house.
So we started calculating the exact timing for the next big step…
An 8.8-Square-Meter Spaceship:
Where Luxury Meets Sacred Geometry
At this point, we completely rewrote our fate. We proved that love, success, and top quality don't need enormous palaces. We created a modern, fully-equipped, microscopically-sized miracle.
If we look at the numbers: our kitchen is a single square meter, the living room is the size of a pantry elsewhere, and the bathroom is barely bigger than a shower tray. Inside, the whole thing is just 8.8 square meters plus the gallery loft.
On paper, that sounds ridiculously small — yet standing inside, it doesn't feel that way at all.
Thanks to the perfectly balanced spatial element, the house is ruled by an intangible, boundless, spacious sense of freedom.
High-Tech Comfort and 5-Star Ayurvedic Gastronomy
In this mini kitchen, meals somehow always turn out 5-star — after all, 50 different spices and several millennia of Ayurvedic knowledge don't need barns to work in.
The two of us fit and work in it easily and comfortably. We hid the fridge completely; it's super quiet and fully insulated, and the oven holds heat so perfectly that home-baked bread is standard equipment for us.
In the living room — which doubles as our creative workspace — both my 184 centimeters and Anikó sitting next to me can sprawl out in royal comfort.
And here's where my inner geek comes out: a curved 32-inch 4K HDR monitor handles the visual experience, and for sound, a Harman Kardon hi-fi and a Bose Acoustimass 5.1 system deliver enormous, cinema-grade surround sound.
The genius of the Bose is exactly like Vastu: it proves that something doesn't have to be big to sound massive and pure.
Thanks to the perfect balance of the earth and air elements, the living room is at once a base for calm and for creativity.
What's more, the acoustics are an engineering marvel: when music is playing in the living room, you can barely hear it in the kitchen or up in the gallery loft.
We also tested the house's load capacity: 5-6 people can happily hang out and play games inside, but there's even been a time when 6 adults and 7 kids partied in there at once.
The Details of the Healing Temple Quality
In the bathroom, a standard 80x80 shower is plenty, and a quiet 12-volt extractor fan takes care of perfect moisture removal.
Here, the water and air elements maintain a harmony calculated down to the last millimeter.
As for sleep: it's something phenomenal. Of course we didn't skimp on the mattress either, but the secret lies in the strong earth element beneath the bed, which delivers deep, cellular-level regenerative sleep.
As I'm writing these lines, we've already slept in this house well over 1,000 times, and the result is 100% the same every time: no matter how stressful or exhausting our day was out there in the world, after a single night every trace of tension vanishes from our system.
We have no electrosmog, no harmful earth or water veins, because every single electrical and water line runs exactly where and how it's energetically safe. This house doesn't press down on you emotionally — quite the opposite: it expands our aura and feeds our sense of freedom.
We'll be honest about one thing: an indoor toilet simply cannot exist in a building this size, whose job is physical and spiritual healing.
Our ancestors never brought the toilet into the living house either, because no matter how clean you keep it, the presence of heavy energies causes a short-circuit in a finely tuned space.
In an 8.8-square-meter sacred space, that would simply be unthinkable.
Our toilet is outside, exactly 16 steps from the house, and it isn't uncomfortable in winter or summer. We got used to this purity very quickly, and happily.
The Bulletproof Swiss Watch, Built to Last 207 Years
The small space holds Aniko and me together fantastically. Even though we see the world in completely different ways, we never end up in conflict even in this tiny place — and thanks to the gallery loft and the garden, we still have our own private spheres too.
The harmony between us is far stronger than it was before the little house — after all, the number one job of a true Vastu building is precisely to align the energies between the people living in it.
The genius part is that ever since we moved in, negative, draining people have simply fallen away from our lives. Luck and protection follow us like constant companions.
So you can see the physical stability too: we had the house checked over by structural engineers and other professionals, and without exception, every single one of them concluded that the structure was "overengineered for safety" — practically indestructible.
The floor is 160 mm thick, the walls are 150 mm, and the roof is 130 mm thick, insulated with rock wool and covered with premium shingles.
We used the best of everything, and the most of everything. It's screwed, nailed, and glued together to the highest quality — after all, it has to survive the 207 years its mathematics calls for!
We even played with light and color for the perfect mood: the windows all around received colors vibrating in tune with their respective directions, so the world wouldn't turn gray even in winter.
In the morning, shades of yellow lift the space; in the evening, shades of blue; while pure white light streams in from above through the gallery loft.
In winter, cyclamen and purple give a little warm, cozy feeling; in summer, on the north side, the cool tones of turquoise, green, and bluish yellow take over.
Of course, achieving this required the building to be oriented precisely to the East — in our case, this was done according to the "Esa Prachee, 5 degrees" formula.
Our Fate Was Rewritten:
Destination Olympus and the Endless Sea!
Since we'd never liked gray Western European winters, and the noise pouring in from the other side of the fence put the final nail in the coffin, a bold idea was born: what if we just picked up our house and took it to the seaside?
At first, it was just an unserious but all the more longed-for dream.
We traveled all over Hungary, driving thousands of kilometers looking for the perfect Vastu location, but something was always missing.
Then we went online to check out Greece. It was as if the little house had already chosen its own new home long ago: the very first plot of land we saw on the screen was an instant jackpot.
A unique microclimate, a stunning sea view, an earthquake-safe zone, and, by Vastu standards, the absolute crown jewel: a perfect northeastern slope!
We still drove another 2,000 kilometers around the area, because we were set on the eastern side of Mount Olympus for its closeness to the sea, but in the end we reached the owner and — naturally, at an astrologically exact moment — bought the plot.
From here on, things unfolded at such a mind-bending speed that it felt as though a higher power was orchestrating our fate.
A good week later, our little Vastu house was already sitting proudly on top of a truck, setting off on its 1,200-kilometer journey to Greece.
The Last Moment Before the Ukraine War, and a 9-Month Rebirth
The journey happened exactly one day before the outbreak of the Russo-Ukrainian war. That was an enormous, fateful stroke of luck: if we'd been even a day late, truck transport would have been paralyzed for months because of the international crisis.
In Hungary, we had to remove the building's roof structure, because it would have been too tall for the highways — but we promised it that in Greece, it would get a much more spacious, more beautiful, and more practical roof.
At our new seaside home, rebuilding the roof took 2 months. Adding that to the earlier work, the little house was completed in exactly 9 months total — just like a human embryo, which then comes to life.
And this parallel isn't an exaggeration. Just as an embryo instinctively shapes its mother's body and actions, this house guided us too.
A living space with a divine consciousness came into being — one that receives what it needs through our actions, and in return gives constant protection, luck, and pure love in our lives.
In Greece, we designed a thick, walkable sheet of plexiglass into the center of the gallery loft, so that the light from the four windows above — openable toward every direction — flows down to the lower level without obstruction.
The geometric center of the house, the sacred Brahmasthan, was left completely free, so that energy and fresh air move up and down in a perfect spiral — crowned by a small, openable plexiglass skylight at the center of the roof.
The 630-Square-Meter Vastu Paradise
Our plot in Greece is an ideal size: 630 m², which feels like salvation after our previous 2,300 m² property back home — because our life isn't about mowing the lawn.
We raised the house up onto 10 robust concrete pillars — this doesn't just maximize the stunning view, it also keeps the floor cool in summer, protects against mountain rainfall, and keeps the local crawling creatures at an elegant distance.
We also built a separate Vastu outbuilding with supportive proportions, housing the laundry room, storage, and the toilet (naturally equipped with an excellent hi-fi system too, because we love music while working in the garden).
On the plot, we shaped everything — from the plant beds through the driveway all the way to the house for our two adopted, adorable cats — according to Vastu's sacred proportions.
Nature responds to this order in astonishing ways: our biodynamic vegetable growing produces such explosively healthy, flavorful crops that you have to see it to believe it.
Here, on the 90-meter-high slopes of Mount Olympus, 2 kilometers from the coast, we have finally arrived.
Day and night, all we hear are the sounds of nature. The sun shines at least 300 days a year, and the air is dry and mosquito-free.
In the evening, the cool mountain breeze, and in the morning, the scent of the salty sea, wake us up.
The mountain and the round stones in the soil act as a natural shield, protecting us from storms and earthquakes.
The southern and western mountains of the landscape, together with the gentle northeastern slope, form the most perfect Vastu configuration that exists anywhere on the planet.
Quality Over Quantity:
The Irrefutable Proof
We've been living in this diamond-encased, microscopic earthly heaven since 2018, and we're proving on our own skin that this science works.
Even though I completed Vastu's highest-level academies and understood everything in theory, I tested the teachings with my rock-hard Western skepticism. And reality surpassed even our boldest dreams: not a single word written in the books was an exaggeration.
With roughly half a century behind us, we're in perfect health, and we have time for everything we could possibly want.
Before, we had to meditate a great deal to reach that subtle, elevated inner state — the very same state that, in this house, simply vibrates in the space by default, constantly, embracing everyone who steps over the threshold.
We haven't longed for a giant palace in a long time: an unnecessary ecological footprint, expensive upkeep, and endless cleaning.
In a consumer society, our 8.8 square meters might of course seem strange — but we didn't fall in love with the square meters, we fell in love with the house's enormous, pure spirit.
We learned the most important lesson: quality always wins over quantity. We are grateful and happy, without any sense of lacking.

Our (old) Logo represents the most auspicious phases of the Moon, which is the being of Ganesha / Ganapati.
The original - pre vedic - AUM / OM sign looks like this.
From the pre-Ashokan period, 64 Kalas/letters were formed in the Devanagiri Akshakara language - old Indian - which form the alphabet, the same number as a Vastu Purusha Mandala (8*8).
Each letter originates from the separate phases of the Moon and is put together - even formally, they all have a spherical structure.
These 64 letters each have a specific sound that originates from the Moon, making Ganesha the "Alphabet Deity".
The Moon represents the laws of the universe so perfectly that it is essential to study and follow it in order to understand the relationship and functioning of the Earth and the Universe.
From an iconographic point of view, this is also why Ganesha is the child of Shiva.
📐 The Energetic Grid of the Akasha House

Even a broken watch is right twice a day.
There are no coincidences, or if there were, take apart a Swiss watch, put it in a bag, and shake it until it reassembles itself.
A building is similar to a clock, and how it is designed and built is very important.
A building shapes time with its space, while a clock shapes time with its hands.
Both are guiding principles and of great importance in everyday life.
The Energetic Quality of Spaces:
A sacred space becomes holy through its vibration, and this vibration is determined by the exact dimensioning of the space. Based on measurements, spaces can be classified into three main qualitative categories:

Heavenly (Sattva): Still, pure energy. It symbolizes harmony, balance, purity, and peace.

Earthly (Rajas): Slowly moving energy. The principle of activity, passion, and restlessness. It symbolizes energy, movement, and desire. This is the driving force that initiates action, but an excess can lead to agitation, ambition, and stress.

Infernal (Tamas): Very fast-moving, swirling energy. The principle of inertia, darkness, dullness, and resistance. It manifests as apathy, heaviness, and confusion.
The goal of traditional Vedic architecture was to create the heavenly (Sattva) quality, which recharges and heals the visitor, creating order in their environment. This science has nothing to do with religion – it is pure spatial mathematics.

We proportioned our own building to embody absolutely pure, heavenly energy. During the design process, we focused on ensuring that the house:

The eastern entrance, in turn, triggers three miraculous effects: victory, fame, and successful publicity.
Why are these calculations essential?
Because this way we don't have to unnecessarily devote our attention, energy, and time to these processes - they will activate, persist, and have their effect on their own.
